What is Bdposa 100mg (POSACONAZOLE)?
Extended-spectrum triazole antifungal for prophylaxis of invasive Aspergillus and Candida infections in immunocompromised patients, and treatment of certain refractory fungal infections.
How it Works
Inhibits fungal lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase (CYP51), blocking ergosterol synthesis. Broadest spectrum of any oral azole — covers Zygomycetes (mucormycosis) unlike other azoles.

Common Side Effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, elevated liver enzymes, QT prolongation, hypokalemia.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ QT prolongation — caution with other QT drugs. Strong CYP3A4 inhibitor — multiple interactions. Hepatotoxicity monitoring. Suspension vs tablet have very different bioavailability characteristics.
