What is Zitblow 20mg (AZITHROMYCIN)?
Community-acquired pneumonia, sinusitis, pharyngitis, skin infections, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and atypical pneumonia. Single-dose and short-course Z-pack regimens available.
How it Works
Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding 50S ribosomal subunit. Unique pharmacokinetics: tissue concentrations far exceed plasma levels — allows short treatment courses.

Common Side Effects
GI upset (nausea, diarrhea), QT prolongation, liver enzyme elevation. Lower GI rates than erythromycin.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ QT prolongation — caution with other QT-prolonging drugs, hypokalemia, structural heart disease. Hepatotoxicity with prolonged use. Increasing bacterial resistance. Macrolide cross-allergy with clarithromycin.
