How it Works
Sacubitril inhibits neprilysin preventing natriuretic peptide degradation. Valsartan blocks AT1 receptor. Together they augment natriuretic peptides and block angiotensin II — superior to ACEI or ARB alone.

Common Side Effects
Hypotension (especially first dose), hyperkalemia, renal impairment, angioedema.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ NEVER use within 36 hours of ACE inhibitor — potentially fatal angioedema. Contraindicated in pregnancy. Monitor blood pressure, potassium, renal function closely at initiation.
