Common Side Effects
Cognitive side effects (‘Dopamax’ — word-finding difficulty, slowed thinking), paresthesia, kidney stones, weight loss, acute angle-closure glaucoma (rare emergency).
Safety Warnings
⚠️ Acute angle-closure glaucoma — stop IMMEDIATELY if eye pain/visual changes and seek emergency care. Metabolic acidosis monitoring. TERATOGENIC (cleft palate). Adequate fluid intake reduces kidney stone risk.
