How it Works
Inhibits cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) — prevents Rb phosphorylation and cell cycle progression from G1 to S phase, halting tumor proliferation.

Common Side Effects
Neutropenia (very common and dose-limiting), fatigue, nausea, infections, mouth sores, diarrhea, alopecia, anemia, thrombocytopenia.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ CBC monitoring mandatory (weekly for first 2 cycles, monthly thereafter). Dose reductions for grade 3/4 neutropenia. QT prolongation risk. CYP3A4 substrate — multiple interactions. Embryofetal toxicity.
