What is Rizatop 10mg (RIZATRIPTAN)?

How it Works
Selective serotonin 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist — causes cranial vasoconstriction and inhibits release of pro-inflammatory neuropeptides (CGRP) from trigeminal nerve terminals.

Common Side Effects
Chest tightness or pressure (triptan sensation — usually benign but rule out cardiac cause), dizziness, somnolence, nausea, dry mouth, paresthesia.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ Contraindicated in uncontrolled hypertension, ischemic heart disease, stroke history, or basilar/hemiplegic migraine. MAOIs contraindicated. Medication overuse headache if used more than 10 days per month.
