Thiazolidinedione (TZD) insulin sensitizer for type 2 diabetes. Improves insulin resistance in muscle, liver, and adipose tissue.
How it Works
PPARγ agonist → improves insulin sensitivity, reduces hepatic glucose output, and redistributes fat from visceral to subcutaneous. Also has anti-inflammatory effects.
