What is Olsar H 20mg (OLMESARTAN)?
ARB for hypertension, alone or in combination with amlodipine or hydrochlorothiazide. One of the more potent and longest-acting ARBs.
How it Works
Selective AT1 receptor antagonist — blocks angiotensin II vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion. Irreversible binding to AT1 provides longer duration of action.

Common Side Effects
Dizziness, upper respiratory infection, headache, diarrhea. Sprue-like enteropathy (rare but serious — chronic diarrhea, malabsorption), hyperkalemia.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ Sprue-like enteropathy: if severe chronic diarrhea and weight loss develop — consider discontinuation. Contraindicated in pregnancy. Monitor potassium and renal function.
