Common Side Effects
GI effects (oily spotting, flatus with discharge, fecal urgency, oily stools) — significantly reduced with low-fat diet. Fat-soluble vitamin malabsorption (A, D, E, K).
Safety Warnings
⚠️ Supplement fat-soluble vitamins (take 2 hours apart from orlistat). Cyclosporine absorption reduced — space by 3 hours. Monitor INR with warfarin. Avoid high-fat meals to minimize GI effects.
