Common Side Effects
Akathisia, somnolence, nausea (especially early), weight gain (less than olanzapine/quetiapine), hyperprolactinemia, EPS (dose-dependent).
Safety Warnings
⚠️ Take with food (at least 350 calories — greatly increases absorption). Avoid strong CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers. Black box: increased mortality in elderly dementia patients.
