What is Isotroin 30mg (ISOTRETINOIN)?
Gold-standard treatment for severe nodular/cystic acne refractory to other treatments. Can produce long-term remission or complete cure. Also used for gram-negative folliculitis and severe rosacea.
How it Works
Vitamin A derivative — reduces sebaceous gland size and sebum production, normalizes follicular keratinization, reduces P. acnes colonization, and has anti-inflammatory effects.

Common Side Effects
Dry lips (nearly universal), dry skin/eyes/nose, elevated triglycerides and liver enzymes, photosensitivity. Rare: depression/mood changes, pseudotumor cerebri.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ TERATOGENIC — causes severe birth defects. Absolutely contraindicated in pregnancy. Avoid blood donation during and 1 month after use. Monitor lipids and liver function monthly. Avoid waxing (skin fragility).
