How it Works
Prodrug converted to perindoprilat — inhibits ACE, reducing angiotensin II formation and increasing bradykinin. Reduces vasoconstriction and aldosterone.

Common Side Effects
Dry cough (up to 20% — bradykinin accumulation, class effect), dizziness, hyperkalemia, angioedema (rare but potentially fatal), renal impairment.
