How it Works
Non-steroidal competitive inhibitor of aromatase (CYP19A1), reducing conversion of androgens to estrogens by approximately 85% in postmenopausal women.

Common Side Effects
Hot flushes, joint/bone pain (arthralgia — very common), osteoporosis, vaginal dryness, fatigue, headache, increased fracture risk.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ Contraindicated in premenopausal women without ovarian suppression. Bone density monitoring required. Calcium and vitamin D essential. Do NOT combine with tamoxifen (antagonistic).
