What is Lamotrig-Dt 100mg (LAMOTRIGINE)?
Anticonvulsant for partial and generalized epilepsy, bipolar disorder (maintenance), and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. DT = dispersible/chewable tablet.
How it Works
Blocks voltage-gated sodium channels → stabilizes neuronal membranes → reduces repetitive firing. Also inhibits glutamate release.

Common Side Effects
Dizziness, headache, diplopia, ataxia, nausea, rash.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ Serious rash risk (Stevens-Johnson syndrome) — slow titration mandatory, especially with valproate. Aseptic meningitis reported. Titrate very slowly. Dose reduction with valproate co-administration.
