Common Side Effects
Hypertension (most significant — BP monitoring required), tachycardia, nasopharyngitis, UTIs, headache. Fewer cognitive side effects and dry mouth than anticholinergics.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ Blood pressure monitoring before and during use. CYP2D6 inhibitor — increases levels of metoprolol and tricyclic antidepressants. Caution in bladder outlet obstruction.
