What is Ropark 1mg (ROPINIROLE)?
Non-ergot dopamine agonist for Parkinson’s disease and restless legs syndrome (RLS). Monotherapy in early Parkinson’s or adjunct to levodopa in advanced disease.
How it Works
Selective D2/D3/D4 receptor agonist — stimulates post-synaptic dopamine receptors without converting to dopamine. High D3 affinity may contribute to mood benefits.

Common Side Effects
Nausea (take with food), somnolence including sudden sleep attacks, orthostatic hypotension, impulse control disorders (gambling, hypersexuality, binge eating), hallucinations, edema.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ Sudden sleep attacks without warning — must NOT drive until effects fully established. Impulse control disorders: warn patients and caregivers proactively. Augmentation in RLS (symptoms may worsen over time). Do not abruptly discontinue.
