What is ACE-031 (ACVR2B-Fc)?
ACE-031 (Ramatercept) is a soluble fusion protein combining the extracellular domain of Activin Receptor Type IIB (ActRIIB) with a human IgG1 Fc region. As a decoy receptor, it sequesters multiple TGF-β superfamily ligands — including myostatin (GDF-8), activin A, activin B, GDF-11, and BMPs — preventing their binding to membrane-bound ActRIIB. This produces broad inhibition of myostatin and activin signalling, resulting in more pronounced muscle mass increases than Follistatin-344 in some models. ActRIIB-Fc also affects bone density via BMP pathway modulation.

What is ACE-031 and how does it differ from Follistatin?
ACE-031 (ACVR2B-Fc) sequesters a broader range of TGF-β ligands than Follistatin-344, including both myostatin and activin A/B. Its IgG1 Fc fusion provides a longer half-life than FST-344 in animal models. ACE-031 showed strong muscle hypertrophy in preclinical studies for Duchenne muscular dystrophy and sarcopenia.
How is ACE-031 reconstituted?
Add 1–2mL bacteriostatic water to the lyophilized vial. ACE-031 is a large Fc fusion protein — swirl very gently and do not shake. Allow 5–10 minutes for full dissolution. Store at 2–8°C for 7–14 days.
